What We Do

Luis Rodriguez/Creative Director

With a unique blend of environmental influences, an expansive education in design, and unrivaled on-the-job training from the likes of Nike, Luis Rodriguez brings a vast knowledge of design and brand strategy to The Medium Creative Group, and does so with Cobra-like instinct.

After graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design from Cal State Fullerton, Luis went on to capture a Senior Graphic Designer role in Nike’s Team Sports division. Developing and expanding branding projects for organizations such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Falcons, and University of Washington Huskies, Rodriguez diversified his talents six years later when becoming the Art Director for TransWorld Motocross magazine.

Though elevating the magazine’s design to award-winning status, Luis’ skills on a motocross track never truly flourished. Not to be kept down, Rodriguez manages to stay in form through mountain biking, skating pools, and chasing his two youngsters around the house, all the while collaborating to build the greatest project of all—The Medium Creative Group with partners Cooley and Milan.

What We Do

Ryan Cooley/Project Director

Through his extensive experience in production and project management, not to mention a strangely unique—some might say borderline OCD—ability to coordinate and organize, Ryan Cooley bridges all gaps between the creative and the client, allowing The Medium to provide top-notch service.

Growing up an avid participant and competitor in the sports of motocross, surfing, and snowboarding, Cooley still managed to graduate from Arizona State University with a BS in Nutrition and a minor in Biochemistry. Never departing from his core interests—including playing guitar in a subpar punk rock band—Ryan lent his skills to a leading dietary supplement manufacturer (Metagenics, Inc.), his family’s business in the aerospace industry, and prior to dropping in as a founding member of The Medium Creative Group, TransWorld Motocross magazine, where he served as Managing Editor.

Well-rounded with a hunger for all flavors of life, Cooley keeps The Medium’s projects in motion, and does so with the most organized desk you’ve ever seen!

What We Do

Garth Milan/Photography Director

The preeminent photographer in motocross and all-around kind-hearted Vegan health nut, Garth Milan graduated from Long Beach State University in 2000 with a degree in Photojournalism and a minor in Psychology.

A lifelong participant in motocross racing, Milan first spent time honing his talents and skills at Dirt Rider magazine before helping to launch TransWorld Motocross magazine as one of two founding editors. With over 10 years of magazine experience and three published books under his belt, Milan has modestly grown into his role as one of action sport’s leading photographers.

When he’s not busy firing off shots that will make your mouth water, Garth spends his time skating pools on a deck wider than most wakeboards to facilitate his size 15 kicks, or bumping into 17-year-old kids at punk rock dive bars throughout SoCal. Garth’s keen eye for art and design, as well as his vast photographic experience in a wide variety of situations, make him a critical component to The Medium Creative Group.
